Q 4: A man
bought sacrificial animals
with the intention of slaughtering them after a couple of days as a tailsman for his son and inviting the neighbors. (Part No. 11; Page No. 440) A guest came to him, so he slaughtered one of them and told him that it is a tailsman for his son. Later, he was told that this is invalid. What if he had mentioned this to the guest and the latter thought that it was a compliment to him? Please advise concerning both cases.
A:
The more preponderant opinion is that it is invalid, as he bought it to protect his money, whether he had told the guest or not.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
